Released on June 25th, MAS 9.0 is the first MAS Manage release to align all Application Suite applications on the same release cadence. It is also one of the largest functional releases on a long-term and established architecture to date.
MAS 9.0 continues to focus on maintenance, inspections, and reliability with updates, including new applications, interfaces, AI-powered technologies, and more.
The latest MAS release includes multiple new features that enhance functionalities from MAS 8.x.
Functioning as a start center, dashboards allow the user to navigate and perform actions available on the dashboard without having to go into individual applications to complete a task or query. While MAS 8 introduced the Dashboard availability within the application suite (Operational, Scheduling, and Dispatching), MAS 9.0 will introduce new ones geared towards engineers and operators and enhancements to the existing dashboards. With multiple views and integrations available, including MAS Mobile, operational managers can focus on specific data sets and technician queues without leaving a dashboard.
The new Work Orders application in MAS 9.0 includes planning capability. You can now navigate through the Plans menu within Work Orders to oversee critical assets and tasks that must be completed. This eases establishing relationships between work orders and how they will be completed (labor, tools, materials, technicians, etc.) and managing subtasks within the work orders. These enhancements to the Work Orders application simplify the planning process for Operational Managers and create streamlined task management.
With an enhanced Work Queues application, administrators and operational managers can create work queues for multiple tasks, including work orders, purchase requests, purchase orders, incidents, service requests, and more.
The Inspection Form Builder application also has enhancements in MAS 9.0, allowing the builder to be used in multiple formats, including both desktop and mobile.
For the first time, Artificial Intelligence will be integrated into Manage.
Installing the Reliability Strategies add-on in MAS 9.0 gives you access to a library with hundreds of assets and thousands of failure predictions across operations. These are written and designed by industry professionals, making maintenance more effective by centering it on reliability. Predictive maintenance strategies based on industry expert recommendations. This will eliminate resource and data challenges and optimize maintenance schedules in advance. This also helps reduce unnecessary maintenance costs for failures or shutdowns via automatic workflows and preventative maintenance schedules. Not only will this extend the lifespan of equipment and assets, but it will also give a more reliable and data-driven approach to work orders and asset management with work order history and industry-expert knowledge.
